Say yes to free lung screening!
The National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) can help find lung cancer early, before symptoms start! In its first year, the NLCSP has already saved hundreds of lives, with over 100,000 Australians receiving a free scan to detect lung cancer early.
If you're an LGBTQ+ person aged 50 to 70 and have a smoking history, you may be eligible for a free scan.
The scan is quick, safe and looks for early signs of lung cancer, when it's easier to treat. When found early, over 65% of lung cancers can be successfully treated.
It's good to know: You don't have to quit smoking to have the scan.
This scan isn’t about making you quit - it’s about giving you more healthy years to thrive, be fabulous, and spend with your chosen family, friends, and loved ones.
If you think you may be eligible, ask your doctor or healthcare provider about lung screening. Because it's good to know!
