About the campaign

The It's Good to Know campaign is a national awareness campaign supported by the Australian Government and delivered in partnership with Cancer Council Victoria, the Daffodil Centre, National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, ACON, the Australian Multicultural Health Collaborative, and the Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Eastern Section)

The campaign supports the launch of the National Lung Cancer Screening Program, aiming to increase awareness and participation among eligible Australians.

Lung cancer is Australia’s leading cause of cancer-related death. This screening program offers a new opportunity to detect lung cancer early, when it’s more treatable and save lives. But to do this, we need to make sure that everyone eligible knows about this program and is supported to participate.

Some communities continue to experience higher rates of lung cancer and may face additional barriers to participation.

The It's Good to Know campaign reflects the diversity of the eligible population and will run across TV, radio, digital, social media, outdoor and through community platforms to reach people where they are.

Help to amplify this campaign by sharing the information and resources below with your networks.

Together, we can help more Australians benefit from this life-saving program!
