A free lung scan could save your life – no matter where you live
The National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) can help find lung cancer early, before symptoms start.
Australia’s first new national cancer screening program in more than 20 years is already saving lives, with more than 100,000 Australians already participating in the program to detect lung cancer early.
If you're aged 50 to 70 and have a smoking history, you may be eligible.
The scan is simple, free and could save your life. It’s a low-dose CT scan of your chest that looks for early signs of lung cancer, even before you feel sick.
When found early, over 65% of lung cancers can be successfully treated.
Extra supports and services are available to help rural and remote communities access screening, including Telehealth appointments and Heart of Australia’s mobile screening trucks.
